She is considered one of the most powerful forms of Goddess Durga. Born from the penance of Sage Katya to destroy evil, Maa Katyayani ended the tyranny of the demon Mahishasura. This is why she is also called the Warrior Goddess . Her form teaches today’s youth that raising your voice against injustice and wrongdoings is the truest form of courage .
